The trailer for the game was released today on the Steam platform, which is powered by the popular Steamworks suite of tools. The game will be free-to-play and is scheduled to launch later this year. Following in the footsteps of Team Fortress 2's 2011 launch and its legacy sequel Team Fortress Classic, Team Fortress 3 has a more focused, puzzle-focused game. The sequel to Team Fortress 2 is being developed by Valve Software, DICE LA, and Forever Entertainment. The release will feature campaign mode, co-op and multiplayer modes, new class, items, new maps, and an expanded soundtrack. Team Fortress 2, developed by Valve, was originally released in 2004 and has spawned six sequels, more than 20 million copies sold, and even an unrelated 4K remake in 2012.Team Fortress 3 is the sequel to the award-winning Team Fortress 2 and will follow a new story set in present-day Tristram. The game was revealed at a special press conference at E3 today.
